SMS Terms & Conditions

These SMS Terms explain the text messages BookItUSA (BOOKITUSA LLC) sends, how you consent to receive them, and how to stop them at any time. They form part of our Terms of Service and should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. Programme description

BookItUSA sends text messages to customers about venue bookings. There are two separate types:

• Booking messages (transactional) cover booking confirmations, payment reminders, overdue notices, changes to your event, and event reminders. Consent to these is required in order to book, because we rely on text to reach you about your event.
• Promotional messages (marketing) cover new venues, offers, and announcements. These are entirely optional and require separate consent, which you may withdraw at any time without affecting your booking.

2. How you opt in

You opt in by ticking the consent checkbox on the booking confirmation screen before confirming a booking. The optional promotional checkbox is presented separately on the same screen. We record which options you selected and when.

We only message numbers that have been provided to us directly by the account holder. We do not purchase or import phone numbers.

3. Message frequency

Message frequency varies and depends on your booking activity. As a guide, a single booking may generate messages at the following points: when your booking is confirmed, at seven days, three days, and one day before a payment is due, if a payment becomes overdue, and at seventy-two, forty-eight, and twenty-four hours before your event.

4. Cost

Message and data rates may apply. BookItUSA does not charge you for text messages, but your mobile carrier may, depending on your plan. Check with your carrier if you are unsure.

5. How to opt out

Reply STOP to any message from us at any time. You will receive a single confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and we will not text that number again unless you opt back in.

• Reply START or UNSTOP to opt back in.
• Reply HELP for assistance, or email contact@book-itusa.com.
• You can also opt out of promotional messages only, and keep booking messages, by contacting us.

If you opt out of all messages while you have an active booking, we may need to contact you by email or phone instead. If we are unable to reach you about your event, your booking may be affected. See our Terms of Service.

6. Supported carriers

Messages are supported on major United States mobile carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to your carrier and network conditions, and cannot be guaranteed.

7. Privacy

We do not sell your phone number, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share it only with the service providers who deliver our messages. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

8. Changes

We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the most recent version.
